"I used this with my class of 9-year-olds, absolutely brilliant. The stories are exciting without being scary. The rules are clear enough that kids ran encounters themselves after Session 2."

★★★★★ · Dad of a 7-year-old with ADHD

"My son usually struggles to stay engaged for more than 15 minutes. We played The Dragon's Lost Egg for two full hours. He was completely absorbed. I nearly cried. This bundle is extraordinary."

We replayed The Path of the Young Heroes on a rainy Saturday with my son making completely different choices than the first time. He remembered what hadn't worked and tried something new, watching a 9-year-old think strategically like that, you realise the game is teaching him more than just story.

Every choice my kids made felt like it actually changed things. My daughter spent ten minutes debating whether to help a goblin or not, she was talking it through like it was a real moral dilemma. At the end she said 'can we replay it and see what happens if I choose differently?' That was the moment I knew we'd be doing this every weekend.

Six years old and I'd assumed I'd be carrying most of the session. Wrong. By session three, the rules were being corrected for me. Six years old.

Enjoyable session. The handouts are a nice touch, makes it feel more like an actual adventure. One small typo on a character card but nothing serious.

Best day of his life, he said. He's 7. He still says it after every single session. Six sessions in. I've started writing down the exact words because I want to keep them.

Good adventure, engaging story. My daughter got really into it and asked a lot of questions about the characters afterwards. Would buy again.

After we finished, my son sat quietly for a moment and then asked 'Is Midrolia okay though? Like, even after the story ends?' He was genuinely worried about a fictional dragon. He's 8. That's what good storytelling does, it makes you forget it isn't real.

I've played adult D&D for years and was a bit sceptical. Thirty minutes in I'd completely forgotten about the simplified mechanics because the story was actually good. My kids now ask every single Friday if it's game night yet. We've made it a ritual.

Frequently Asked Questions

✦ ✦ ✦
Not at all. The DM Rulebook explains everything as the story unfolds. Rules are introduced in context, so you learn by playing. Many parents with zero D&D experience have run these adventures successfully from the very first session.
Designed for children ages 6–14. Younger kids (6–7) may need a little more guidance from the DM parent, while kids 10+ can start taking on more independent roles. The simplified mechanics grow with your child.
One parent acts as DM and up to 6 children can play. The sweet spot is 2–4 kids. You can also play one-on-one with a single child for an especially special bonding experience.
Yes, absolutely. Visual aids, simplified rules, short encounter structures and hands-on props make it highly engaging for children with ADHD, dyslexia or other learning differences. Many parents told us this worked better than any other game they'd tried.
Not at all. Combat is fast and fun — not graphic. The tone is closer to a children's fantasy novel than traditional D&D. Monsters are interesting, not terrifying. Stories are exciting for kids but enjoyable for adults too.
All files are delivered as digital downloads immediately after purchase. PDFs optimized for both printing and screen. Print maps and character cards for the best experience, or play entirely digitally on any device.
Regular D&D has 320+ pages of rules. Our bundle has a single beginner-friendly DM guide, and rules are introduced one at a time as you play. Think of this as the gateway — once your kids are hooked, they'll naturally want to explore more of the D&D world.
